How To De-Stink Your Bathroom Naturally

IMG_2406Nobody poops but you. No, wait. That’s not it. What’s the name of that book? Oh, yeah. Everyone Poops.

Everybody poops. Everyone farts. Every family member and friend has the potential to stink up your bathroom. But what do you do when you’re trying to rid your home of chemicals? How do you freshen up your bathroom without Glade or Lysol sprays?

This is all you’ll need AND it’s cheap!

1 cup baking soda
10-20 drops essential oil

I use a small decorative container that I put up high on a shelf, but you could just tear open a small box of baking soda and put it anywhere in the bathroom.

We use frankincense in one bathroom and a mixture of lemongrass and eucalyptus in the other bathroom. I get the oils at Sprouts, and I usually wait until there is a 25% off sale plus use any coupons if I can find any.

Just dump the baking soda into your container (if you’re using one), and place the oil(s) next to the container. When the bathroom gets rank, just place 10 to 20 drops into the baking soda. No noxious fumes or chemicals to worry about. Replace the baking soda every couple of months.

I’ve read about making a natural spray, but that would require me to purchase a spritzing bottle and more work to make the solution. If you try it, let me know how it goes and if it’s worth the effort.

This is much easier, and the baking soda and essential oils can be used for other homemade natural products.
