If you haven’t been to my new Facebook page yet, or lately, you probably haven’t noticed that I changed my page name.

My jewelry has gone through a lot of changes over the years, as I’ve dabbled and experimented to find my niche. Life really does lead us down some interesting roads to places we never imagined we’d *ever* end up.

I’m currently taking a class on starting my own online business. I want to get it right this time and not go half-assed, barely-more-than-a-hobby.

My first step is changing the name of my jewelry line:

Anaïs Áine Jewelry.

Next step, working on a website. This class truly is a step-by-baby-step process.

I was originally going to create a business based on homeschooling and helping other parents make the transition.

I was really excited about it in the beginning, and then my ADD started to kick in. Yeah, I got…

I know I haven’t been here for awhile, but I’ve recently started up my jewelry-making again. My focus will be on custom items and only one-of-a-kind pieces. I made a few custom pieces during Mother’s Day and had the customer design them herself!

They were both birthstone themes.

I am also focusing on only using gemstones. I’ve been studying their metaphysical properties and which zodiac symbols they are associated with.

These stones are associated with the Aquarius sign and all are imbued with calming properties.

I probably won’t be posting here for awhile still, but I will be posting new and upcoming pieces on my Facebook page.

I am also getting rid of most of my huge collection of beads, which I’ll be selling in both my Zibbet and Etsy shops.

Been Gardening…

I know.  I know.

Em and I have been severely neglecting our blog.  Life and ADD have been getting in the way.

I don’t know about Em, but I’ve been taking lots of photos and have lots of post drafts saved.  I just need to… ya know, follow through and finish.

I’ve been gardening again, though!

I’ve been dabbling in different planting methods.  More like half-assing them or only partially implementing them on purpose.

My bare root roses that I planted in December are starting to bloom.

It’s been fun because I didn’t mark any of them, and I didn’t plant any duplicates.  So it’s a surprise each time one plant blooms.

I planted all sorts of colors and types, mainly fragrant, hybrid ones, though.

There are about 20 bushes but only a few have opened their buds.

Everything else is flowering and doing really well.

Ice plants.

My daughter’s azalea plant is pretty much throwing up flowers left and right.

I’m planning to propagate this potato vine and create a wall of these things on the chain link fence.

So gardening has been my focus lately, among all the mom and wife duties.

I’m still working on that post about lasagna gardening and Hugelkultur.  I’ve been sort of implementing these methods.

As you can see, everything is growing wonderfully.  Plus, I have no weeds.  That’s the best part.

Em and I are still here, if not completely.  Thanks for sticking around!  🙂
