Reading Comprehension and Writing

The Complete Writer: Writing With Ease (Level 1 – 4) by Susan Wise Bauer – suggested for elementary grades, but I used this for my daughter, who has dyslexia, throughout her middle school years.

The Complete Writer: Writing With Skill (Level 1 – 4) by Susan Wise Bauer – suggested for middle school years, but I currently use this for my 14-year-old daughter who has dyslexia.

The Creative Writer: Five Finger Exercises (Level 1) by Boris Fishman – I intend to use this with my daughter later as she advances through Writing With Skill.

Vocabulary

Word Roots by The Critical Thinking Co. – suggested for grades 5 through 12+.

The Reading Teacher’s Book of Lists: Grades K – 12 by Edward B. Fry and Jacqueline E. Kress – I used this mainly for spelling word lists, but there is a wealth of info in this book that I will be using once my youngest is old enough to sit still for lessons.
